i will preface the start of this first by saying this happened many years ago - in 1985 when i had just become a new father myself to my dear son flipper junior, i'll call him.
when i explain this to you, some of this may appear comical, in fact, now that i overcame it years ago, i can laugh at it, but when you see the totality of the story- when it happened then to me- it was no laughing matter.

JW TERMS I CAN'T STAND
by str8?so is spaghetti..until you heat it up inthere are a few terms i cannot stand that jw's use and now i have to consciously convince myself not to use:.
1. the truth - um nothing could be further from being accurate.
2. worldly - as if they are 'other worldly' or 'supreme beings'.

My Wife Is Getting A Sheparding Call
by sacolton ini've disassociated myself since february.
i made no secret of my disapproval of the wtbts and was very vocal to my doubts of it being god's true organization on earth to the po.
now, the po and another elder has scheduled to talk with my wife tonight for a sheparding call at the home of the book study.

the KofC, ha ha ha I sent in my membership, have you done much research into the Knights? it's mostly about Insurance, taking care of widows, and helping young Catholics pay for college who can not afford it. As far as Catholic that slam a door in your face, I doubt it was a fear of hell but more "why are you bothering me on a beautiful saturday morning"

Min, I've never heard any Catholic talk bad about JW's, Yes maybe EXJW Catholics, but none of my Catholic friends talk bad about JW's, even when I tell them I grew up in a JW home, they are mostly curious ask a lot of questions, like why we didn't celebrate birthdays, blood transfusions, etc. Even in church I've never heard anything bad about JW's from my priest, the only thing I remember was one priest talking about how in America its very easy for anyone to start their own religion and that is probably why we have so many religions in America like the mormons and JWs.

Has a song "GRABBED" at you pulling your soul in?
by FreedomFrog init doesn't happen to me much but when it does i can't get enough.... i was driving home from a friends house trying to figure out how to work out my finances/home/college/kids and then the song "eye of the tiger" came on.. i've heard this song many times.
this was one of my fave's growing up but it didn't catch my soul like it did tonight.
i was in awe to the point of needing to hear it 6 times already.
